I took my 1988 gxl to emissions last week and it weighed in at 2,751 lbs
and i had things like books and crap in the back
Is this the normal weight for an 88 gxl??

 

Was that with you in the car? What options do you have? How much gas did you have in the tank?

I think that about right for a wet 88 NA.

 

i don't think they weighed it with me in the car...and i had about 1/4 tank

 

I have a 86 and 87 gx and I'm just under 2000 so i dont think it's right

 

86 and 87 gx under 2000?? thats a little too low unless you have removed everything possible and have lexan windows. 2751 is about right for the GXL, they are 2652 completely stock with no gas, so 2751 is probably about right.

i hit 2400 the other day with about 10-12 gallons of gas

 

I want to weigh my car, I wish I had done it when it was stock so I could compare. Agent D, what have you done to your car?
