Even with a fully equipped shop, I cursed a fair bit doing my front control arm bushings.
The HF press when on sale is a great deal for light work. If you have the space for it, you won't regret the purchase. It also comes in handy for wheel bearings, control arm bushings, subframe bushings and diff bushings.

Definitely fix the suspension and do all the maintenance before trying to add power etc..
Exhaust is critical to the engines performance, especially up here at altitude. Also the OEM ECU is way rich, and up here its even richer, so even a simple SAFC will make the car run better when its leaned out a bit.
