I have the high intensity halogens from WalMart. They're twice the normal low beam power, and work fine.

Silverstars in H4 conversion lenses.

I left a normal ?Bosch? head lamp in one side and compared to the conversion lenses with silverstars. Silverstars were significantly better.
Not amazingly, but it was clearly noticible.

Also the beam pattern is sharper with the H4 conversion lenses.
(I think I used Pilot brand conversion lenses.)

After one of my stock headlights burned-out, I bought a set of Sylvania Silverstars. Honestly, the difference was huge. I do a fair amount of highway driving and the beam was noticibly farther and clearer. The color is also closer to pure white instead of yellow, which is supposed to make it easier to see farther.

I think I bought both my silverstars and my conversion lenses at autozone.
Walmart might have a slightly better price on the silverstars, but they don't stock as many bulbs.

My conv lenses were the halo type. Not that the halo is useful for anything, but I'm satisfied with them. Adv. auto parts carries the other type (diamond) of conv lenses..... APC brand
