Meaning only the stock Hitachi HT-18 is suited for the stock manifold. Sorry bud.

It's cheapest/easiest to pick something flanged for a T4, as those are the most readily available turbo units. Remember the stock turbo is internally gated, so with any aftermarket manifold, you'll need to purchase an external wastegate. Absolutely nothing smaller than 35mm, but you'd be wise to lean more towards 40mm+. Then you have to get oil feed/return lines to keep the turbo cool, as the stock ones will no longer fit. Also remember to match the manifold with the turbo. For instance, you'll have either "on-center" or "tangenial", "divided", or "undivided". Make sure everything matches up.

Oh and the stock topmount becomes more and more useless as you increase the boost. Might wanna budget for a front mount intercooler. And then there's the fuel system to support it, and the engine management to tune it properly. A single missing piece of the puzzle will lead to big problems down the road. Best advice is to SEARCH the forums feverishly for any questions you may have. Read the FAQ and stickies at the top of the forum. Use multiple keywords to generate the best results from the search feature. Good luck.

fd's have twin turbos... you would want some t4 manifold such as hks or greddy. you could also go with a hybrid set up that uses the stock footprint.

I think it was BDC who was having a lot of success converting the Top mount to A-W. Just a thought.

Good to see you back around again.

You are correct. That's not exactly a bolt on type of deal, but here's a link anyways.

I recommend that u have a full understanding of the system before you start going for big power.

Understand the components and parts or u'll end up with a paper weight of a motor.
