What Turbo Timer?

What turbo timer should I go with? I've got a stock turbo set up (87 TII). I don't plan on improving my turbo system until at least next year, but would still like a turbo timer in place.

HKS Type 0
HKS Type 1
Greddy
Blitz

Which should I go for? Better options than above?

save your money. You don't need a turbo timer.........just take i easy as in DO NOT BOOST when you are 2-3 miles from your house and by the time you get there it will be ok to safely turn the car off. Plus, if you boost close to your house it will attract the wrong attention and could put your car at risk for thieves.

They all have the same features basically, get the HKS Type-1 if you want a few more things, like the 0-400 meter, etc. I had one but never hooked it up completely.. now that you mention it I dont even know where I put it. (Switched to an apex one so its smaller and out of the way)

I have a couple extra GReddy ones I'll be posting for sale shortly.

damn, now I have to figure out where I put the HKS one.. =(

the extra features are cool.....but like I said.....useless....if you have cash in your pocket and want the cool factor then get one of NeoFreak's.......they are cool but not necessary.

I like my blitz DCII. The size of the actual display unit is the size of a 5 piece pack of gum (width, length and depth). Features include, auto timer (based on throttle %, boost, running time), manual timer, electronic boost gauge, lap time recorder and some other stuff I forget.

I personally like the Apexi units.. they are cheap, have a thin little stick for a faceplate with a joystick on it and then you mount the guts box up under the dash

Not too many frills, but its a nice, clean install. no big box sitting on the column (the blue wire is for a temporary gauge i have in the ashtray.. not part of the apexi unit!!!

You can see it here under the tach,,, I usually leave the display on battery voltage readout.
