What size is the engine/trans bolt underneath the starter?
DO NOT link me to the FAQ, because that bolt is a hell of a lot longer than 30mm, and the bolt sizes are ****...bolt sizes are given by shaft diameter, not head diameter...
I bought a 10mmx1.5x50mm bolt and it didn't even come close to catching threads.
Mazdatrix has a picture of it, but doesn't list the size. It looks to be about 4" long.

Use something to gauge what you think you need, measure with an English scale, and then multiply by 25.4. round to the nearest 10 mm since that is the increments offered for large lengths. Done.
OK... really primitive method of finding length here... it's a 12MM head I believe right? Look at the head size and compare it to the picture of the bolt... a rough guess? 4.5 inches?

the head is a 14mm.
10x1.5mm.. if it is long and about 4 inches look at 100mm.
25.4 mm per inch.
to measure it HillBilly style:Get a pencil and stick it through and dent it with your finger nail.Take the pencil to the store!

Could be 1.25 Shaolin.
I was looking at the master List In the archives so I surmised that it was 1.5.
..and crap I got a box of bolts here but you know, you can't mark every one and ID what they are for!
I may be able to get you a Part # though...Nope.looked on my parts manual..didn't list any info.

Let me know how it goes.
worse case scenario,I can try and see how big it is,and see if I have one and send it out..(pay shipping)
This is the long bolt that holds the starter onto the Trans/engine right?
If not please specify the exact location.
