What should i do arghh?????!!! Help me smarter people!
Hey guys Im just new here but am looking at buying an RX-7. i live in Canada and have found a couple I am interested in.Just let me know your opinions,
1988 RX7
NA with some mods, runing about 190 rwhp
Ferrari 360 paint (red)
New clutch, rad,
brakes, jvc cd player. keyless entry
standar 5spd
sunroof
completely new exhaust with strait pipes (no cats, no emission control here)
17,000 km's on completely rebuilt motor
goin for 6000 CAD or about 5000 American
1986 RX7 GX
NA Stock
100000 miles
no rust
new clutch and brakes
silverish
jsut pretty much stock
goin for 4000 CAD or about 3400 american
if i can get him down to abot 3000 or 3400 CAD so like 2500 american is it a good deal?
Remember I want to get into some performance stuff and turbo's are not a priority to start with but maybe later, o if anyone knows about some cars for reasonable prices for sale that arent too pricey and can be had in canada just let me know. Thought i would ask you guys because you seem to know quite a bit.
Thanks ephiphany

the 1988 is WAY to much, 190hp? did he tell you that? i'd LOVE to see a dyno chart b/c there is no way its makin 190rwhp.
the 1986 is too much as well, I wouldnt pay more than 2k american for it. If the paint was is GREAT condition along w/ the interior then maybe 2.5k...but most arnt.
I'd keep looking.

Not to brag but I only paid $275.00 for my 88 t2 with bad motor. Bought 89 swap for $750,now i'm good to go. Have a lot of other goodies to. Heres a link to the exact horespower ratings for s4 86-88 non & turbos as well as s5 89-91 rx7s, and a very rare effeni 91
Later, good luck.-Dustin
PS - Dont pay to much bro, the rotary can be a bitch of an engine if not cared for previously. Its a whole new plain.

190hp seems a little high for an N/A that has "a few mods"
I would say 3k at MOST for the '86 depending on condition.

Well i tlaked to the 86 guy and he gave me the real lowdown, it has a new clutch new rotors calipers and pads, 100 miles on whole thing. it was listing for $4000 CAD but i talked him down to 3400 CAD so about 2700 american it is in very good body shape absolutely no rust and it has a 3000 dollar alpine stereo system ( i know it sucks jiuce but thats kinda cool). So now what do you think?

I paid $700 for my 86 N/A with 190,000 miles on it and still ran.
the first one sounds like a good car, but the price is a high, and like others said 190hp is definetly incorrect.
the second one doesnt sound too bad if the price goes down below $3000 USD,
but it really depends on what you want to do with the car, gotta plan it out before you start spending, i learned that the hard way.....
1. is it going to be daliy driver, track, or half half?
2. what mods are u planning to do? (performance wise)
3. future engine swap or rebuilt? turbo?
questions like these are probably good to think about before u pick ur FC
Good luck

Very true.......I learned that the hard way too.....
