HI What should I do?

Okey right now im in iraq... but anyways im trying to decide what im going to do with my fd when i get back.
I have a 1990 rx7.....
It has a 13b half street ported.
I got that back in 2007 when i first got the car.
All of 2008 I was to busy to mess with it.
Now im going back to hawaii and am going to spind a month straight on it.
I am trying to get as much out of it as i can for the money.
I have about 5 to 6 thous... for the engine.. soo .... what to do.
I am going to do all work myself with friends help.
But I have options
1: Build my engine
2: Swap 20b
3: Bridge port it

hrm yea...
for the money What would be the best idea to get good hp/tq
I am not doing any kind of swap unless it's rotary.
Trying to keep this car as mazda as posable.

What are some good ways to get power out of my engine?
Would it be better off doing the 20b?
Would bridge porting it be better to gain good hp?

I want to get 400+hp more the better.... It's going to be a racing car straight up.

I dont know to much about rotary but thats why im going to spind a month working on it.
I am going to learn.... but yea ideas would be great guys.

if you wanna look at it

I say if you have the bread, go for the 20b. 13b's are known to become less reliable when you port them out to make the power your aiming for.

Personal opinion:
20b street port
microtech computer

keep her n/a.

By the way, you own a FC, not a FD.

And I wasn't aware that you could do half of a streetport... I only know them as mild and aggressive.

If your car is NA right now, I would sell it and get a blown TII. With the money you already have and the extra money you get from the sale you should be able to reach your goals and be in a much better car over all.

You mean the turbo engine?
SAle mine and swap out.
Why not just add turbo to mine?
I mean isnt there alot of things to do.
I nwas looking on mazdatrix and was thinking of trying to get the 3rd gen twin turbo 13b into it
I dont know why it wouldnt fit.

20b will cost at least 3 times what you initially think it will.

HI

How hard would it be to make mine twin turbo?
I don't know much about it but I would think therer would not be any problems.
I know you have to adj the compression ratio.
But would that be all ....
When i had my engine ported the guy said that you cant turbo it ... just to swap....
I got a fue months b4 i can do anything just really trying to develope a plan

If you plan on going 20b, expect to throw at least 10 to 15 during your initial engine purchase for extra parts. Plus at least another 5 in labor. Swapping to 20b is no easy task.

And you might as well junk the twins idea, theirs a reason the 3rd gen guys get rid of them.

If you want to have a good build, I'd recommend sending your motor over to Atkins Rotary as a core and have them send you back a 13bt. You'll be able to get some money back that way. From there, its all what you want to do with the engine. You could save some money, go on stock everything and turn up boost a little, you could also have it ported before they ship it to you and run a stand-alone. Again, from there its all personal preference and up to you.
