What should i check first?

OK heres the deal, i just completed the installation of my S5 motor into my 87 TII, everything seemed to go well it even fired up on the first try - however when it started it reved up to about 2500 then quickly sputtered out like it wasnt getting fuel, i tried several more times and same thing, i know the pump is good, everything seems to be in place and im not sure where to go from here any suggestions?

Fuel filter, injectors, vaccum lines, afm..... could be many things.

I have never, not even once, heard of a FC fuel pump failing.

Make sure to double check all of the ground connections to the engine.

Did you install a JSPEC S5 engine? If so, the fuel lines are reversed on the JSPEC to US versions. Swithch that and you should be fine

Elaborate???? Didn't Banzitoyota indicate they are opposite on the Jspec? On a normal engine the line from the fuel filter goes to the front pipe on the engine. On a Jspec he indicates it goes to the rear pipe on the engine. I'll take his word for it.
