What Runs off the ECU? (been a while)

I am finishing up my build (dark side of the forum).. I want to remove the ECU from the passenger footwell but do not remember everything that it helps function. I remember most of it was just fuel injection, sensors, etc...

I do not need the following to function:

Guages
Idiot lights
Security
Fuel pump

Obviously I am on full stand alone..

Things I still need to work:

Windows
Sunroof
All lights

Does removing the ECU under the floorboard effect any of that.?

Windows, Sunroof, All lights. These items are not dependent on the factory ECU.

No for just the fan. ECU does control A/C working though in addition to the auxillary electric fan I think.

In a convertible the wipers are bundled with the engine harness, not in a coupe. The ac also passes through the ecu, neither affects you more of a fyi for others reading.

Ya,there is 3 connectors that come through the firewall along with the main harness, one to the AWS bottle and the others to the wiper motor and cruise control actuator.
You just unwrap the harness and snip out the wiper motor harness,it leads to a connector down by the Rocker on the passenger side(If I remember correctly).

its all the cars have it in the same harness, s4 and s5 turbo or non, vert and coupe
they all have one wiring harness coming out the passenger side firewall, with the wipers in it.
