What is this pipe?

I found my water leak just now. Its this pipe that runs side to side under the car. Its almost right under the pulleys & is in front of where the oil drain is. I can't exactly get to it right now because I have to go somewhere. What is it though? Seems to be leaking right where a small tube thing goes in. Need to drop the plastic protectant to get to it. Thanks.

Maybe I'm being silly, but that sounds like the stabilizer bar.

yea, at first i was thinking you meant pipe as in hose. but if its metal then it should be the bar. it should have a sticker on it too

Its not a bar...it has a tube going into it & the water is coming from that connection, or was. I used some sealant & don't think its leaking anymore but will prolly leak again sometime.

OK, multiple-choice test:

1. The leak is coming from a...
a) hose that has a hole or crack in it.
b) broken metal piece that a hose connects to.
c) broken plastic piece that a hose connects to.
d) hose connection, and nothing appears broken.

2. The hose nearest the leak is a...
a) big fat rubber hose
b) medium-sized rubber hose
c) thin metal hose

3. The hose nearest the leak goes from...
a) the top of the radiator to the top of the engine.
b) the bottom of the radiator to the bottom of the engine.
c) the bottom of the radiator way back to the firewall.
d) the bottom of the engine to the top of the engine.

BTW, stop-leak products are really bad for your car, but I guess it's too late now.

Ah, multiple choice tests. When in doubt choose "C".

OK...
1. go with C
2. go with C
3. unknown, I haven't had a chance to take the plastic cover off the bottom of my car. I am doing that tomorrow morning.
