what is this part?

got this in my front clip. but im not sure what it is, or if the bend is supposed to be there...

the bend dosnt look like it was done on accident. and it would take a pretty good force to bend it. but its only like that on one side, so i wouldnt think its a suspension piece. but i have no idea where it goes. but im pretty sure its not a rear strut bar either like i originally thought. much to short. and havnt seen any rear strut bar from and maker to look like this one...

it bolts to the control arms. there are 2 U shaped brackets, it bolts to the inside of each of them. might as well keep the end pieces and just get a new straight section instead of using that one. someone made a good thread with how to make one of those things for $10 or something.

i might just cut out the bent section and weld in a new piece. i might need this because i removed both my front and reay sway bars. but am running stiff suspension and upper strut bars.

As cheap and lazy as i am, i'd just heat it up, bend it back and bolt it up.

Should still do it's job fine.
