why would you want to put 19"s on? seriously (im not trying to be an ***) theres just no point to it. you wont be able to turn. people have rubbing problems with 18's.

I can't answer your question sorry, but...

Quite apart from the loss of performance, handling and ride quality, IMO the FC is too small for 19's to look good. It makes the car look like a giant rollerskate.

I am putting 18s on mine... They fit (barely) within the stock tire height, and with the correct width and offset, they aren't much wider than the wheels on a stock TII, but they are 1.5" wider than the stock wheels on my SE (phone dials).

The wheels I am getting are Enkei RS5 18x7 +40mm 4x114.3. I know, I know, I should get a 17x8 before I get an 18x7, but I'm getting a hell of a deal on these.

Won't work.

Here are 19's on an FC.
He puts them on only for shows, as any steering wheel movement will cause serious rubbing to say the least.

i have 18s on my fc and no rubbing maybe i'm lucky? but i don't see why it would be a problem if you can get the outside diameter near the same then it's just more rim less tire, this seems to be a hard concept for people to grab such as people thinkin that puting 18s on my car will make it sit higher

The problem is that the diameter of the OEM wheel isn't much bigger than a 19" wheel!

For example:
Stock Diameter is 24.69 inches.
225/40/19's yeilds a diameter of: 26.09 inches. That's almost 2 inches taller than stock - almost 6%.
Finding that extra room under the fender is an issue.

Even a 225/35/19 would be bigger than stock - but only by about 1/2 an inch.

To get an almost exact Tire size match, he would have to run 205/35/19. As far as I know, that tire size isn't exactly common.

So, yes it can be done, but not with the sizes he listed there.

Fitment issues aside 19's are prone to getting bent or broken very easily on the street. Much beyond a 17 is getting risky, though 18s seem to get away with it pretty well.

He is a member on this site (YGO-20B I think) Try shooting him a PM - he'll tell you if he can drive with those on - and if so, what size they are.
