What mods next??

I have an 89' TII with this stuff i'm just going to copy from my for sale thingy listed below. Basically, after a FMIC, what kind of stuff can I do to get my car any significant amount faster than it already is, besides like new turbo and stuff that I already have? I'm not looking for anything major, but I am still not satisfied with my straight line performance before I move to suspension.

- A'pexi Intake
- Custom bent intake piping
- BNR Stage II Turbo (hasn't even been driven with yet, but is installed)
- Greddy 720cc primaries and secondaries
- TurboXS Type-S BOV
- RB 3" Turboback
- Mated in Bonez high flow cat to pass emissions
- S-AFC
- DEFI Boost Gauge
- Autometer A/F Gauge
- Molded dual gauge a-piller pod
- Still have stock hatch cover (most dont so i figured i'd mention it
- FD Wheels
- Toyo proxes 255 lots of tread left
- Hubcentric Spacers (25mm)
- New brake booster
- FCD
- Walbro 255
- VDO boost gauge thats not installed (was my former boost gauge
- Still have stock radio/equalizer/cassette deck to throw in
- New factory leather shift boot
- New factory size floor mats
- Replaced circuitry for gauge cluster with brand new one
- Pioneer CD Headunit (i forget what one it was, but it retailed at like $200 a year ago)

How do you know you are not satisfied without driving it with the new turbo? After you get that FMIC, get a EBC and see what you think about it at about 12-14psi. After that, youre looking at a standalone, aftermarket turbo, etc..

Hm, seems like you have a lot of power as it stands. Personally, I go for suspension (handling) mods first before power....but good luck with the ride. It looks like it could be a sweet one

there is always someone faster.

work on the suspension and go out and autocross a little. have the best of BOTH worlds. also, peace of mind knowing you have the potential to be the more skilled driver.

If you want power mods go with lightweight pullies, and a grounding kit (that actually does make power despite what others may say). Suspension mods will greatly aid you in making faster times, be it drag or real racing. Power is useless if you can't control it. Also, if you want speed, add lightness.

fmic if you have an upgraded turbo, injectors and safc because you know your going to want to boost more than 11psi. Also you are going to want to rewire your fuel pump if you haven't already also don't forget about a coolant temp guage because with alot of horse power comes a need to see what the temps are. I'll think of some more later

edit: just saw something else, you need to go ahead and get yourself a wideband so you don't blow up your engine!

Get an FMIC, turn the boost up, and of course get the SAFC dyno tuned. Weight reduction is always a cheap go-fast mod also.

your car should be just as fast as his TTz with the mods. you have listed. I would remove your spare, jack, rear carpet, and whatever else is simple to remove to reduce your weight a little. I figure with your setup, and depending on your driving skill, you should be able to run at least a 13.1 My good friend has a 10thAE running the stock turbo, a 3" exhaust, a 255lph pump, and a HKS intake, FCD. I think his best pass was a 13.7, so I don't see why you couldn't run better than that. Also, on a coincidental basis, my other friend has a TTzx with a lot of mods. 3" turbo back exhaust, JWC ecu, fuel pump, greddy e-manage, stillen intercool piping, and a few other things. The car is pushing about 425 to the flywheel at 14psi. However, he has yet to run better than the RX-7 has yet. So, it mostly depends on the driver.....
