What makes it an 87.5?
I think Mazda may have began using high impedance (12-15ohm, instead of 2-4ohm) injectors halfway though the year. Ohming the injectors is probably not the easiest way to check though.

Those (7601) just last four digits reference the end of the 87.5 model year in june/ 87 production.

It'll be a number like JM1FC3320H0156471 Post back with your number. And as you can see, that number is low resistance injectors. One of the good cars.

looking under the air filter housing is an easy check too... if there is a resistor pack there, then you have low impedance injectors... if not, well you get the idea
