I sent my fronts in to tein for a rebuild... they were like, were the hell did you get these... no we won't rebuild them for you and your not getting them back.. they were never supposed to get out of japan.... pissed me off... ******* basically gave me no options and hung up..... the rears are still good, and work real well.

yeah thats what i'm affraid of, they dont register on their computer and the guy was really sketchy to begin with.... none the less i think i found a local shop who could possibly rebulid them, but other then that if someone knows of an equivalent to my struts i'd love that, then i could get US spec one's and as lons as the damper and rebound is the same or close i wont complain....

no ****, i was told "sure, just send them here and we will rebuild them for you" though now that you mention that i'm a little iffy about it, hopefully in an hour when i take my car to the shop they will have good news and say they can rebuild them, and it would cost alot less then shipping them to tein....

i would call them back and tell them either send a replacement set then or you will never give them your business again and let your friends know as well(this forum), i sure as hell would be pissed too if they gave me that kind of treatment...not a wise business choice.

most deskworkers/call takers don't think about making wise business choices, they simply think of the quickest way to get rid of you

Is the damping adjustable?
It looks like they are spring perch adjustable.
Are they shock body adjustable?
Do they come with camber plates - are these adjustable?

If you can answer those questions, you can figure out if they are HE / HA or RA / RE...

Those dampers look like they are covered in OIL.
If so, that's a very bad sign the shocks are LEAKING.
I wouldn't buy them.

no dude, LMAO!, those are mine, the seals blew and oil gushed everywhere, i floored it and heard a ping then they went....

as far as i know the only thing you can adjust on them is the ride hight with the 2keys, that i dont have, hah....

my friend says they are fully adjustable, but the kind folks at kal-tire said they are basic and you can only adjust the ride height, thats all, they look pretty basic too me....

Yeah, sounds like HA / HE's.

The RA / RE's have shock body adjustment (I think) and also adjustable camber plates.

The HE / HA you can only adjust the spring perch and no adjustment on th camber.

Damn, sorry to hear your blew you shocks.

thanx dude, the worst part is calling Tein, giving them the part numbers and the guy comming back on the phone saying "we have no bloody idea what struts those are, we dont carry them at all...."

that was the worst part.... but i might aswell just get base-normal adjustable one's and save my self some time and headache....

thanx again everyone, you guys kick ***....
