what is involved in changing a tie rod...?

I had a mishap w/ my car, and one of the tie rods snapped, and since, i haven't been under my car (i'm at school rite now) and i was just wondering what is involved in replacing a tie rod....

Remove the one end from the steering knuckle. Then take off the boot from the rack and take off the other end. Put it back together and get your car alligned.

solid, doesn't sound too bad, i'll have to get under my car and check it out this weekend

dont nee any special tools or anything, do i?

how do you get that stupid pin out? I tried replacing my tie rod, I could not get the )(*&#$)(*&$# thing off...
