hmm rebuilt transmission???

my transmission has been making clanking sounds and i think ive decided on getting my tranny rebuilt. what do you guys think and how much does that cost???

800 for a used tranny in good condition depends whats wrong with the tranny though on unless your planning to do a full rebuild

800 for a used tranny? i donno about down there but ive gotten 4 used tranys for free and they all work! people are giving them away up here!!!

when i was down in CA it cost 350 for a trany from a junk yard.....

Why don't you get an answer that is actually credible. Considering rates are different all over the world, asking people here doesn't mean a whole lot.

Take out the yellowpages, look up a transmission shop, there are plenty around if you live in an actual city. Call them and ask for a price.

if its clanking it may not even be the transmission.. it could be a bad pilot bearing or throwout bearing rattling like hell
