what have you lost while doing a teardown/rebuild?

im about to take the motor/tranny out and so far the only thing i have misplaced was the little clip that goes on the cruise control cable(if that makes sense to anyone). it popped off when i was taking it off and i cant find it...

my MIND!

no but really, i have a pit in my garage and if i drop a bolt/nut i have to spend a hour trying to find it. man i need lights and a concrete floor in that hole.

apex seal, and corner seals, they tend to jump out the moment you start seperating the housings and irons. Get a rubber band ready to put around the apex seals to keep em from jumping.
