help! electrical gremlins
Basically, the car is getting power as normal, but will eventually cut out within a matter of seconds/minutes/hours/days. I've replaced the battery terminals, and the battery is reading 12.5V strong.
The car acts normally when its working, but sporadically cuts out the power to the interior and engine. When the power cuts out, the headlights/horn/interior lights work, but turning the key has no effect. It'll cut out at any moment without warning, idling in the garage or in the middle of driving.
I can tug up on the harness leading off of the battery going down into the bay and power will return (if the key is in the on position, I can hear all the relays clicking) and if I let it drop it'll either die or stay on, but will eventually die.
I'm mechanically inept so I have no idea what the problem is, I've replaced the main ground on the drivers side shock tower to no avail, could it be the ignition switch or just a bad harness?
I've tried looking at the FSM but I can't find a good diagram of the harness leading off of the battery, what plan of action should I take?
Any and all help is appreciated, thanks guys

I think I may have found the problem by wiggling out different wires with the key in the ignition until it turned on. I narrowed it down to this plug that looks really janky.
Whenever I squeeze or pull on it or twist or whatever, the rest of the electrical system turns on. Anyone know what it is? Any advice on how to fix it? I can't seem to even pull it apart
It also cuts out alot if I have the fans on, could that also be a culprit?
Thanks for any help

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
what is the color of the wires... and yes that plug has been overheated and could be causing your issue...
But then you said:
What does that mean??? What fans??? And if you have aftermarket cooling fans , what is the voltage when that happens? Anything under 12.5 volts would be bad.

The plug and the wires are both black, it looks like one end of the wire comes directly from the power cable, the other end goes into another group of wires
I don't have an e-fan, and the voltage seems fine when it happens...
By fans i meant heater/AC, it happens more often when i do have the fans on, but i may just be jumping to conclusions
