What is a good vaccum reading on a 87TII
Hey guys. Ive got a 87 Turbo II. Im putting in a new block over the weekend. Right now with my old block that is just ready to die @ idle 700 rpm. I get about 8-9 psi of vacum on my boost gauge. This seems a little low. anyone have a healthy 87 TII that could gimme a good reading ? thanks

I have an Autometer boost gauge and when I'm in vacuum at idle it reads 18 in Hg. When I'm doing 80mph in cruise control it reads 10-12 in Hg.
It only reads psi on the boost side of the gauge.
'90 TII.

I wish I was driving!
I get 16 inches of vacuum on my ported S5 TII motor, rebuilt about 4 months ago.
My first TII saw 26 inches of vacuum. It also hit fuel cut at 5 psi.
My guess is I had a horrilbly inaccurate gauge, and was surprised b/c VDO normally makes pretty decent stuff. I didn't install it, and the silicone hosing used was pretty shitty, so who knows?
