Question What fuel cleaners can be used with a rotary??

I actually have two questions the first is does anyone one know for a fact a brand of fuel injector/fuel system cleaner that you add in your gas tank that is safe for a rotary motor?? I know some of them actually say on the back but has anyone used a specific one that works??I don't have any problems with the fuel system just preventative mantainance i guess you would say.
second, after i run my car for a while and coming to a stop i can hear a slight ticking noise coming from the exhaust...and also when i shut it off from a long run, it ticks louder and sounds like its coming more from the rear. Does a rotarys exhuast suppposed to get that hot??

I've used the redline fuel system cleaner. I like it, and I trust Redline.

i believe redline says it's safe for rotaries on their site. just search for redline on this forum and you'll see a bunch of us have used it for years with good results.

I use Outlaw fuel cleaner, no problems here. The only reason I use the cleaner is to help stop my aux ports from getting stuck.

techron (chevron techron, not the fuel injector cleaner with techron), and i've used it very strong, as in, put the 20oz bottle (indicated for 20 gallons) into 1/4 tank of gas with no negative results.

They're all safe, but none of them really do anything. The best preventative maintenance you can do for your fuel system is to run good gas. Brand name gas is usually the best, and a busy gas station won't be selling stale fuel.

If you want your injectors cleaned, bring them to an injection shop. The injector cleaner sold over the counter does nothing. You're just adding a few ounces more of chemicals already found in your fuel.

The tinking is just the mtal expanding/contracting.

i personally just add a gallon of Tolune with a cap full of MMO (yes paint thinner and Marvel Mistery Oil ) which is basicly 114 octain gas with a lube to keep it safe for your seals. It'll clean the insides pritty good and is great to use as a octain booster on turbo cars

theyre all safe. as far as combustion goes, anything thats safe for a boinger is safe for a rotary. Aaron is right tho, most of them dont do anything. you can use them in much higher concentrations than recommended and they clean a little, but then it may not be safe. basically, if you want to clean injectors, take em out. once they are out, you cna do it yourself or send them off.

^^ atf does dissolve deposits, it very high detergent, but why would you do that when you could just use regular fuel injector cleaner? atf definately doesnt work better than the real stuff.
