Arrow what does this sound like?

I got the car running after sitting for 3-4 years, it smoked like crazy when it first fired up, then the smoke died off, now it came back and is even worse, it smells like a weed eater? what could it be? If it's internal is there any way around a rebuild??? thankyou

I drained it, and put premium in, changed the oil, plugs, and did a radiator flush

Rotaries are wierd cars.. There is really no way to tell what they are going to do once you pull them out of storage.

I just pulled a TII out of a junkyard 2 weeks ago that sat for 4 years. I replaced the fuel tank and pump (I am talking MAJOR nastiness), and tow started it. Thing ran good, no smoke at all. Has a nasty idle issue though....

if it's non turbo then it needs a rebuild, simple as that, sorry to say. burning oil issues don't go away once they've arisen in these motors.

same problem as mine... mine used to smoke ALOT! after cleaning the injectors, changing oil, changed spark plugs and ADJUST TPS, it wont smoke bad anymore when i first start in the morning. There's a small puff, but that's about it.

the motor was just sitting for 3 - 4 years. you could've had leaking injectors and just had gas accumulate in the chambers. of course it will smoke like crazy when u first fire up coz ur motor is burning all the gas (or oil) out. that would be my assumption since i had the same problem.

i bet you when the engine is in normal operating temperature, it doesn't smoke anymore, am i right?
