Slow Edition if you are next to a faster car..... Sport Edition if you are next to a slower car.

 

So it's Special Edition? Isn't the SE the base model?

 

standard edition on the se? and special edition on the gsl-se? does that sound right? makes sense to me

We always called them "Stripper Edition" because they are the base model with about nothing added.
However, some of them have been the fastest models we have driven in stock trim.

 

Mazdatrix rings in at the strangest times.

 

I think Mazdatrix has it right. My 86 base model I had was faster than my 88 GTU. I always thought it was because of the extra weight and the A/C and P/S and that was part of it but mostly it was the low compression on the rear rotor.

i have the SE so i will call it the Special Edition, weird thing is that mine came with a/c, power moonroof.....actually.....

 

well, we should call it STRANGE EDITION then....

 

Mine's got the sunroof and A/C too!
