What Does This Problem Sound Like?

I have an 88' Turbo II, the car starts up fine and idles at around 1200 before warm-up and then at around 800 - 900 after warm-up. The car will idle all day long but i can't increase the RPMs. I can give it gas and the car will rev up to about 2250 - 2500, from there it will just hang. It does the same thing when I floor the pedal. I've had a hard time with this. I would really apprietiate any help you guys can give me.

make sure the throttle cable is pulling the TB open all the way.

Umm more details are needed to get a better idea wf what its doing.... does it run rough and pop and spit... or just run smooth at 2500rpms?

any info you have will help us make a better guess on what it is.

Yeah, the motor runs perfect. If someone came over and looked at the car running, they wouldn't think anything was wrong with it until they pressed on the gas pedal. The motor is smooth all the way up to 2250 - 2500, then that's where the problem starts. I'm somewhat leaning towards the TPS. I have checked the resistance on the TPS it was fine, that was about 6 months ago though. I have checked for vacuum leaks, if there were any the car wouldn't run as good as it is now, right?

Warm it up. Turn it off. Disconnect the tps. Start the engine again and rev it. Did it do better? Probably did. Dead tps.

I did what you told me to do, but it won't rev up past around 1600. It's doing worse than before. It will still somewhat idle and die every now and then. But I don't really see a difference, seems worse.
