a fc running for 800 bucks?

if its true its probably gone bro hahaha.

looks like an se too, no pwr windows/air if so... but it all depends on taste...

either the person just wants to toss it cheap or something sketchy is up with it.

ask for pics of the interior etc.

but for 800 bucks what the hell haul *** down their and check it out. might be a one time thing

I say go look at it as soon as you can. It's most likely a GXL, it's got the stock 5 lug wheels, an SE is 4 lug. It should have power everything if it's a GXL, but look out for the wiper switch and hazard switch cause they tend to go bad on S4's and you end up with only one setting for the wipers. Uhm also check to see if it starts up and does the 3,000 rpm warm up right away then it will drop to like 1,500rpms and slowly drop down to about 750rpm for idle. See if it idles smoothly and if it passed smog. I say if it idles good and passed smogged ok then the motor is probly alright. Other than that just look at the basic stuff, like body repair, rust, the interior condition, etc. Also it's got some kind of aftermarket sideskirts and a rear valence, that's hard to find. Get it!

It looks like it even has the glass moonroof panel which alone sells for $400 or so. That car has to be gone by now...

i'd say that if the car is still there have a look at it and if it seems like what you want, go for it. a lot of us will take the car for a test drive without the owner and go and do a compression check on the engine. thats usually what i'll do. if the car is a Sport model, the sunroof was optional, as was power steering(standard in 87). the Sport did not come with a rear wiper, power windows or cruise control(listed as an accessory in 87 1/2).

let's leave all the speculations aside. The guy posted nothing but a nice body. That makes me wonder why he felt the need to NOT post anything besides it runs great.

From what I see: It looks like a clean FC I can't tell anything else.

Next time, call the guy, set up an appointment, take pics and come back and let us know so we can speculate then.

Search for threads on what to look for when buying an FC.

MY only recommendations are to do a compression test and make sure the car is completely cold when you come see it so you can see if the coolant seals are toast. IF the car is warmed up by the time you get to it then something fishy is going on.

go buy it it looks like it's in great shape, and even if it sux there's more than $800 in parts there...but better than that, it'd probably worth whatever money spent fixing it if it is indeed busted. i want that body kit
