What do you think of Borla XS?

I have burned up another muffler. So now it's time to get another. I am considering a Borla since they are packed with stainless steel wool. But I'm worried about sound.
BTW is an S4 n/a. I currently have a custom mandrel SS single pipe, MS street header, and a Dynomax Ultra Flo round muffler. I have a dreadful drone @ 3K. And it's loud! I am over the dB limit for SCCA. The local guys don't care, but any nationals and I'd be out.

Has anybody used the Borla, and do you by chance have a vid or clip?

I run a borla XR1 as a pre-silencer w/ an RB catback, its damn quiet. I'd reccomend it.

I have a friend w/ a MKIII supra (n/a) he runs 2.5" pipe to a single magnaflow can it sounds amazing, no rasp, no drone.

I'd run the Boral as a pre-silencer at least, perhaps run another one for the outlet as well.

I run 3.5 piping with a 3.5 Borla resonator and then a 3.5 borla xr1, sounds amazing. Not too loud and has a low rumble when im just driving normal.

well, I'm still undecided. I guess it's only $100 then the SS flange and gasket adds up to about $40. So I guess it won't hurt to try it.

I've always been satisfied with Borla for main or presilencer, and never had any issues with poor quality or material degradation.

I thought the XS because of this test:
http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...o_numbers.html

Muffler/ Decibels At Idle/ Decibels At 2,000 RPM/ Decibels At WOT
No Muffler / 91 /103 /Max.
Bassani Street /83/ 96/ 120
Bassani Real Street /84 /96 /Max.
Borla XS/ 80/ 90/ 110
Borla XR1/ 83/ 96/ 118
DynoMax Ultra Flo/ 83/ 94/ 113

Muffler/ RPM/ power/ Torque
Open Muffler/ 6,250/ 365.2/ 306.9
Borla XS/ 6,250/ 373.3/ 313.7
Borla XR1/ 6,000/ 370/ 323.9
DynoMax Ultr Flo/ 6,250/ 368.4/ 310.4

As you can see, the XS is quieter, and makes more peak horse power than Ultra Flo (the one I have) and is quieter than the XR1. I'm also hoping that with off set in and out, the perforated core will be longer and quieter still. I still would like to know what it sounds like.
