what do you think about this turbokit/setup?

Hi guys!

So, i am able to get a used kit for ~850bucks...
the kit contains (all things 4000km old)

Turbonetics T60-1 HiFi turbo
Greedy turbomanifold
HKS 55mm Wastegate
Downpipe
Oil + water lines
2x1000ccm injectors by venom

the kit was mounted on an 91 fc... so, what did i have to do to run the kit basically (install it) on my 87 s4? will the oil/water lines fit?
and the injectors, i know there were low and high impendance injectors... so, do i only need to solder a resistor into the injector harness?

what do you think about the turbonetics T60-1? spoolup, quality etc.

i know i will need more stuff to run the kit (FMIC, Koyo rad etc.), but you got what you have... and for 800dollars shipped

Bullshit.
HKS never made a "55mm" wastegate.

its all yours if you want, im not yet ready to go and put on performance parts...

what i think about this setup is this:
if you can get it for a reasonable price its worth it!
just add prices of all the components, but don't include the turbo.
sorry to say, but its been so many times that i saw buddies of mine buy defected turbo's... so if the price is neat for all the stuff except the turbo, then the turbo is for free then if it's in good shape, perfect, otherwise you won't have payed for something that is in bad shape!

shipping will be killer though! from Switserland to US, OMG that's pricey

its not going to be anywhere near a 'bolt on' type of deal.

let's give this see-saw a break!!

i'm very lucky to just have been passing by this thread, 'cause the kit sold on ebay is mine!

First: it's a HKS Wastegate, 50mm maybe right (diameter of the valve), sorry about the mistake

Second: the setup will fit your 87 s4!! bolt locations and water/oil flanches haven't been changed through the different production years. the only thing you have to get hold of is some resitors for the 1000cc injectors 'cause the 1989-1991 fc3s uses different impendances (this shouldn't be a problem, resistors are usually available at speed shops).

third: to NOPR; YES IT IS A BOLT ON TYPE OF DEAL
the only thing that you have to make bolt on is (needless to say) the exhaust fit. but if you are planning on going t60-1 on your 2nd gen, the first thing would anyway be an exhaust system upgrade! to simplify the whole fitting, you'll get the prefitted flanches from both exhaust side and wastegate side. All you need is a friend or a speed shop (or yourself) to weld them together!

last: this kit is is able to pull some serious HP!! ;-))

The only bad thing I see is that 2 x 550 + 2 x 1000 does not support the kind of power this turbo can produce on pump gas, so be careful about turning the boost up.

basically correct! the thing is, if you're shooting for about 360hp at the flywheel you have to install two additional goodies: Walbro 255 l/h fuel pump, Apexi SAFC. With this setup, my fc was perfectly rich through the whole rpm band. 1000cc are sufficient for this power level
Advantage: no stand alone EMS, no 3d fuel map corrections, you can keep the stock electronics!

well i just anticipated your car being tII :-)
otherwise it would have been quite an expensive project...

as you may have noticed, i added some info for American bidders 'cause shipping is going to cost quite a bit!

if you have any questions going beyond the scope of this thread you can email me to werenchr@zhwin.ch

else i would prefer discussing per forum!
