You need to read up on the Wankel. It's got no heads to port. To port the motor you need to completely dissasemble it, meaning it usually only gets done when a rebuild is needed.

500hp is a lot for a 13B and you'll have to do lots of supporting mods and get a good tune, or it will promptly blow up.

Search the forum, there's lots of good infor out there. Forum member LUPE has 603whp, maybe look up some of his threads.

You'll need forged pistons to hold that kind of power.

If your running 16-20psi on the stock turbo....

The stock turbo is out of it's efficienacy range around 13psi.
15+psi is asking to destroy the turbo as well because it's not made for that range.
Then there's the question of fuel management for that given psi.

There is no head on a turbo to port.
There is very short exhaust manifold but is fine for stock turbo. Porting it won't do you any good. See above psi range reasons.

As for hitting 500hp.
A T70 will get you there but I highly doubt you have the knowledge to keep an Rx7 like that running for more than a month if you ever even finish building it.

the heads have plenty of flow. drop in a stage III cam and some underdrive pulleys and you should hit about 400hp @ 26psi on the stocker. make sure and get a bigger radiator. i'd remove the oil cooler. all it does is block airflow to the radiator.

Is the head V-TEC or non V-TEC? That is important before you get down to porting

The only cam on my 7 holds up my hood. BTW welcome to the forum. Rotary enginesl are a strange yet neat little motor. Treat one right, and it's faster than a raped ape.

actually, a lot of puerto ricans call side housings, or irons 'heads'. on the rx-8 both the intake and exhaust port are on the irons, so why not call them heads?

Because a head would indicate that it's on top not sandwiched in the engine. :P

That's like calling the afm a carb :P :P Well it's a stretch but what eva.

BTW on the huge smiley from Kevin.

well if they call the irons heads in puerto rico then we need to bomb the country and start over regardless of how many quick rotaries there are there.
