what to do while turbo and manifolds are off

hey guys,
i was searching to find our why i am having a horrible hesitation at around 5-6k. so i took the UIM off and looks at the secondary injectors. they were really dirty. so i went to a shop in town and am getting them cleaned. i also noticed that the holes were they go are really dirty and could be causeing this hesitation. so i figured while i have this manifold off why dont i clean it up and paint it. so i took off the LIM off also to clean and repaint. i also decided to take the turbo offf and port the wastgate and turbo housing and manifold. i am also removing the rats nets and MOP. is there anythign else i should do will i have the car this torn apart that will be usefull.

Hmm. Sounds like you've got it down. Pretty much just clean EVERYTHING!!!!!

Replacing all vac lines with new hose is a must since they're over 10 years old and have been next to a heat source most of that time.

Check the Pulsation dampner while your at it. If the screw is out of the middle section them replace it while everything is off(assuming you've got an S4 block in there).

I used a wire brush and nylon brush to remove the gunk from my turbo. Although I had some major gunk.

A good solvent shoud work. I used this Puple lightning stuff from Castrol ro someone. It's in a purple bottle at Checkers and autozones.

Just becareful around some aluminum. It can stain them.

the secons pic its hard to see it but look in the first pic under the stud there is a crack. the crack is pretty bad so im gonan get a new manifold. but the UIM and LIM were cleaned and repainted with 500f paint. but they look as good as new actully even better.
