What to do this weekend on the 7's

Should I:

Work on the body work on the GFH, Finish prepping the engine compartment for paint

or

Pull the tranny out of the TII (Blown motor) so I can compression test my cheap used engine and see if its worth installing?

I am driving my ancient 75 Chebby PIKEMUP 60 miles round trip to work and it sucks

If the Spare engine has compression I can drop it in One BIG thrash session, but first I have to get the passenger door open!, The spring came off the latch, neither handle works!

Funny you say that. I have to replace my striker plate on my Drivers Door. If the locks are activated and you lift the handle up the Assembly jams up. So now that I am able to open It, I have to replace the part. After that, I have to replace the Alternator Pulley with a Dual Belt one. I'm adding a FD Alternator, so spacer needs to be widened. After that, Greddy EGT Gauge!

my 1991 has a broken door handle too, it sucks. if you pop the moulding off the top of the door and look down in there, theres a white thingamajig, push it down and it will open the door

Quit whining and do something

Car is mostly prepared for storage and just found a winter car storage special at the storage warehouse. Might just spoil the car this winter.

Dont you have a lot of spare parts? you can use a NA flywheel and tranny and starter to run the compression test. ****, Id just crank the engien over by hand and if it has all its seals in place still Id throw it in, whats it take, 3 hours? Then baby drive it around until you get time/money/motivation to do it right, or sell it, or whatever. As long as all the seals are good, even if theyre low like 90psi, it'll run fine and be better than driving a damn truck :-0
