Question what to do next?

hey, i've got an 87 tII, so far my mods are: intake, midpipe, cat-back, a.c.t. clutch, jacobson's wires, fcd, boost guage, air to fuel ratio guage, and walbro 255lph fuel pump. What's next? Oh, by the way i wouldn't mind if this next mod was something that would help to improve my current 12 miles per gallon.

Put a rocket booster on the back. Boeing make real good jet engines you could use. Try Locheed as they made the stealth bomber.

suspension is ok for now, i forgot to include that i've got tokicos and eibachs sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. the rocket booster sounds pretty nice, just don't want to hit any large bumps, he-he. thought about the downpipe but i don't want to overboost, that would be a bad thing! thanks for the input fellas

12mpg? heh heh, that highway or city? I find my own mileage improves when I behave and keep my foot away from the floor, and the tach under 3500. That does take a bit of the fun out though. My personal best was right about 21mpg highway only, with these engine mods:

intake, downpipe, hi-flow cat(bonez), apex N1 single, 660cc secondaries, G-force computer, ported j-spec engine.

My advise, don't stomp on it so much and the mileage gets better. City driving drinks it like a ****. Still cheaper than taking the bus.

the 12mpg is in the city, but the thing that sucks is that i only boost up maybe two or three times per tank of gas. the rest of the time i'm keeping it right at 3grand when i shift. does that g-force computer you have improve your powerband and allow increases in boost levels?

I'm a lot more familiar with the 3rd gen but I'd say: down pipe, ecu (I use power fc and love it) and a nice shiny intercooler. your boost controller should be able to keep your boost at the levels you want. also power fc can control boost.

The purpose of the re-mapped computer is to supply adequate fueling levels at above-factory boost levels, instead of tricking the computer with an FCD, which causes it to actually supply LESS fuel on boost (but not go fuel cut on you) (at least I'm pretty sure this is what a FCD does... if I'm wrong someone please correct me)

Richer mixture on boost = even worse mileage if you boost it... but you won't pop the motor.

FCD's just tell it you're still under 8.6 psi. So technically, it is supplying less fuel, but only because the ECU thinks you're running 8.6, not 10 or 12 or whatever.
