What to do with my car (s)?

What to do with my car (s)?
I have a 88 SE and a 87 TII. The SE is overall in good mechanical shape, no rust anywhere, everything works, and is on its second engine without a clue of how many miles. Some mods. Then I have a 1987 Turbo II, which is in pretty pisspoor shape at the moment, full of mods. I just got new fenders for it, a new hatch and s5 trim. But it will need a few new parts but heres the problem.
There may be rust in the wheelwell and rust on the doors, other then that there also may be a risk of the engine being shot (or on its last leg) since it had been overheated twice with the previous owner. It runs right now, but it still smokes. It has boost and pulls, but overall, it could be better .
So this is the problem. I can go and totally restore the TII and do some of the body modifications that I've always wanted to do, like a mild bodykit, s5 trim, sport seats, paint, suspension, and heavy modifications to the engine. Then I could get the engine rebuilt and streetported. And have a 13BT block and a full TII to take care of.
Or:
Swap all the parts into my SE and do a 13B-RE swap. And then go from there with everything else. IE mainly performance modifications, no interior work, and some bodywork (ie S5 conversion). Pretty much start with a better body that has nothing that absolutely needs to be repaired immedaitly (sp). If I do this I'll part out everything that I didn't use and make some slight cash. I figured that a 13B-RE engine wouldn't be a bad choice if I didn't need to take care of paint and body work. Extra $$.
So thats my problem, what would you do?

Before you decide, get your TII up on a lift and inspect it for any other signs of rust. With the rust you have now, you may find a lot more underneath. A friend of mine is buying my GXL because he has lots of little rust spots under his TII. Some of the rust has penetrated the floor and some of the structural parts are starting to go. At this point it will be easier for him to restore the GXL and swap his TII parts, than it would be to fix all of the little rust areas on his TII.
