What do the knobs on the fuel lines do

What do the ***** on the fuel lines do
When I was working on my intake system I notices the black ***** on the fuel lines the run along the firewall. what exactly do these do? If I turn them does this affect fuel distribution? Thanks -Evan

ugh. Im going to guess you are talking about the pulsation damper and the fuel pressure regulator and they are caked in dirt The names are pretty descriptive of what they do..

I know where the PD and pressure regulator is. Im speaking of the CLEAN black ***** on the 2 or 3 lines on the passenger side next to the fire wall. I think these are fuel lines. Can someone clear this up for me.

Your not talking about the A/C lines going along the firewall are you?
They're the only black ***** i can think of anywhere near there..

Those are the only lines with "*****" I can think of as well. Unless you have some aftermarket fuel mods, there shouldnt be any ***** on the fuel line.

Ok that clears everything up. I thought these were fuel lines until I looked and saw that it went through the firewall... Next time ill look before I speak. Thanks guys.
