you need race or street port with 800 or 850m primary injictors and 1350, to 1600 secondary injectors with a good after market engine management system and a large turbo t4 or t3 exhaust with t70 or better turbine no emissions and strong fuel pump good inercooler and lots of dyno time good luck but it can be done (rx7914 turbo) russ

water/meth injection, Peripherial port, .80+ a/r turbo, and 3mill apex seals on race gas. that would make 500.

Maybe even $15000. Top of the line ECU (Motec, Haltech, Microtech) GT42R, the aforementioned bucketloads of fuel with massive support behind it, bridgeport motor that has every goody available for strength and durability, crazy-*** clutch system, tranny, driveshaft, rear end, axles, not to mention the saftey aspect of brakes, cage, suspension...more like $20,000 if you're lucky.

what are you guys talking about? people are making 400 pretty damn easily on 60-1 turbos so i would think 500 would be easily obtained from a 62-1 or a little bigger. You could hit 500hp pretty cheaply I think.

with that many hp's though i would rebuild engine with large streetport or maybe a half bridge $2500
fuel setup with rrfpr, injectors, and if you went parallel fuel system I would say what $600
microtech and haltecks can be had for around 700-850 for the lt8 and e6k
greddy fmic can be had for about 800
good pressure plate and clutch for what 500 ( got the xtd off of ebay for 200 )
and then the turbo setup I would say you will spend about 2500 on so thats about 7k plus shipping.

edit oh yeah through another 150 in for a bov

oh yeah and the 2500 dollar budget for a turbo setup would be for a pretty damn good turbo cause hks manis and wastegates are getting sold used for about 200 a piece so that would leave you with 2100 for turbo, lines and vband dp to mate to your existing exhuast.

What you need to do is get in touch with a shop, and quit hanging out on the internet...
The amount of bullshit on here is ridiculous...

Trust me...**** will get expensive awfully quick if you want to stay quick. Just having a turbo will not get you a solid 500rwhp.
