Question What to do before a trip

Im going on a trip with the SE RX-7 club to the tail of the dragon which is a road with 318 turns in around 11.1 miles. not only is it a way away from my home but while im there i will be stressing my car heavilly exspecially the brakes. What im planning to do is replace the plugs, the wires, flush the radiator, change the oil and oil filter, the fuel filter, and replace all the brake rotors and pads. thats all i can think of so if there is anything i forgot please tell me. Also i already have 4 brand new tires with less then 1000 miles on them. If you guys can think of anything i forgot tell me.

If you plan to drive hard at the Gap, I'd suggest bleeding the brakes before you go. Changing pads and rotors is up to you. That really only needs to be done if they need replacing, unless you decide to go with a different brake pad compound.

bleed your brakes & put in some high temp/quality brake fluid
Motul DOT4
& bring extra brake fluid

other than that, everything else you listed is good
bring spare fluids
I wouldn't bother with bringing COOLANT, just make sure you got water.

I'd put gas in the tank... go for broke... fill the tank all the way.

Then I might bring another $20 along... just in case you need more gas or perhaps even some food.

umm bring a tire pressure gauge and keep an eye on that, taking hard turns with unequal tire pressure can be very bad. bring your spare tire if you don't always carry it. And bring a cell phone and some cash nothing worse than being broken down with no cash and no communication

If something happened at Gap, I'm sure we'll help you as much as we can.
Just make sure everything is running well and it might not be a bad idea to have AAA+.
I have one and saved me few times and also Steve Kan.

Also here is a link to a check list GTUser made for this event..

Also, One thing I highly recommend would be make sure everything is secured in the car. When making 318 turns in 15-20 minutes, it gets very annoying to here something rolling around.

Those of you don't know about Deals Gap, here is a sample video that I made of our trip last weekend.
