what did you use to streetport?
Does everyone use a template, which template did you use?
I'm having a hard time shelling out 60 bucks to mazdatrix for a damn bit of sheetmetal with a port scribed on it

How is it running? did you notice gains? does it idle OK? Do you have a NA or turbo?
I'm rebuilding my 87 TII and want to port it as long as I'm there, the pricing on their templates just irks me.

Mostly for turbos...
NA's are a little more tricky to port, as you have more options in terms of port sizes.
I base the porting templates on my experience with working with these engines.

Sure, you know it's quality and will work excellent, but I can't see it requiring much time and effort to create.
$60 us is too much, but then again, that's Mazdatrix.

The availble templates being sold are fine for most applications.
They are conservative to most of the "secret" porting shapes from most shops, but they will reward you with significant gains if you follow the instructions.
