What did I break?

I was blasting through 4th gear on the highway shifted into 5th and shortly after noticed a severe decrease in power. I got off the freeway and my turbo II isn't running smooth at all. It's hard to get it rolling. I park it at my friends house and try to start it again. Won't start. I come back today and it starts up and runs the same as last night. I get it to my house and same story, when its warmed up it won't start. I pull the plug wires to see which side is messed up. The rear ignition made no difference when I pulled it. I check the compression on the rear and get 3 50psi "bumps" on a pretty cheap compression gauge. Does anybody have any clue what happened?

Well if that gauge is accurate and you are only getting 50psi, then your motor is finished.

you should be seeing 90 psi bumps or more on a standard pressure gauge...

does it idle like crap?????????

I really need to check the compression again on a better gauge to be sure.

I know a cracked apex seal is just as worse as a blowed up one, but with the cracked one there is a less chance of a f*ed up housing, or turbo.
