What coolant do you use?

Well I'm getting a Koyo rad for my car. Want to know what anitfreeze should I get. I read somewhere that some have silicates or something like that that actually make it turn nasty in a rotary. Would some type of 50/50 premix work well. Would that be ok for winter too? I plan on using Redline water wetter also.

i generally just use the "All Weather" brand from Kragen, i always recommend flushing the coolant yearly in a rotary. there is no great coolant that will last for years in a rotary engine so i just kick everyone in the *** and remind them to service it regularly.

I prefer to use the premixed 50 / 50 stuff.
I get tired of people yelling at me to use *distilled* water.
I only use name-brand stuff - i.e. Peak or Prestone.

Ted, tell the distilled water guys that you buy your distilled water from Prestone.

As for what coolant(s) I use:

1990 RX7 Vert=Evans NPG+

Everything esle= Prestone Low-Tox+.............Distilled water. Apple Green

I would buy 50-50 if it were available in the low-tox. Not a lot of Peak or Sierra brand stuff sold around the stores I frequent.
