What color should I paint my calipers?

What color do you guys think I should paint my calipers? I got black red and yellow paint. My rims are stock aluminum silver. I got a black 89 GXL. Tell me what you think.

If you're going to paint the subframe black is the only color I would do it with.

Red might look good on a balck car. I painted mine black, but my car is white. Looks good when you sand down the "MAZDA" part then put a coat of clear over that.

Why paint them at all? Just clean them up real nice.

They will get rusty again, I cleaned them up real good then they started to rust again... the back ones at least. Are the front aluminum, if so I might leave them alone.

All four are AL I believe. On mine I just cleaned them up real nice, that was last year. If you do paint them though, paint them black or grey. Painting them a color makes them look aftermarket.

The four piston front calipers are the only ones that are aluminum.

I painted them safety red. If they dont match up then ill just paint them black again.
Just paint the subframe black like it was originally? Then hit the bottom of it with truckbed liner from a spray can?

I had painted my calipers red, and i repainted the subframe black then hit it good with an under coating, i think it was duplicolor... I was bored and hit the rest of my car underneath as well, its REALLY black. So i decided to paint my exhaust aluminium to lighten it up a bit...

If you want them to stand out dont do black. i painted mine black, btu i thought they would look pretty cool. btu they just look like there really dirty. If you just want to hide them then go with black.

Heres a pic of my car with black calpiers

I have VHT's Yellow now. The previous owner painted them this colour which I didn't particularily like. So, one-by-one I had to replace them when they failed. In doing this, I had to paint them the same colour to maintain the consisitency. I really wanted to paint them Black and sand down the embossed Mazda but It would look odd with a Black and Yellow theme.

So after replacing them and painting them Yellow to maintain the consistency, I loath them now. I'll probably be glassbeading them and repainting them the same colour as they should have been from day 1.

Silver RX-7 and Yellow Calipers are ghey.

Red caliper on black car = Awesome. Do red, you wont regret it. I painted the calipers on my G/Fs black eagle Talon TSI AWD red..looks great. Just dont do it stupidly. CLean the calipers meticulously..then give them a few coats, and let dry. I baked my calipers actually. Nothing looks worse than bad/flakey paint.

I have the calipers on my silver FC painted black though..

I painted mine silver, and did the mazda on the fronts in blue. They match my wheels very well. My car is black and i think they look awesome, of course

cant go wrong with red though, it's a universal color works on just about anything.

midnight blue would look cool with black and wouldn't stick out too much, yet would keep it from just looking dirty
