black will hide break dust sooo much better, while yellow and red , will just accentuate it. I wouldn't paint the subframe, any crazy color, stick with a traditional black.

Silver subframe might look nice...

as far as brake color goes.. it depends on the color of the car..

the brakes on my 10AE are getting painted black with the mazda part getting painted gold or red...

but maybe I'll do the opposite of that, red calipers with black lettering... I think that would look really nice...

Even though it doesn't look as good as it would with something like a Black or even a white car, I still painted my calipers red. I think they look decent.

too bad i don't have any pics of my brakes, maybe somthing to do tommorow, any way, my car is black and I painted my brakes red, and hand painted the mazda part white, looks really nice. but my buddy has a white 3rd gen and I painted his calipers white with the mazda part red, it looks really fancy, people always give him compliments on them

Well, I gotta admit this thread Inspired me to get a move on my current Yellow Calipers I still have on. I've taken them off and I'll be glassbeading them tomorrow, If not Tuesday. The Yellow Is outta there!

just clean then very well with one of those wire brush attachments for a drill or dremel, then add a clear coat... they will look better than new, and not rust.

I painted mine red, but I still need to hand paint the Mazda part. I guess it could b argued that it looks ricey, but I thought that it was a great way to accentuate the stock brakes, which are nothing to be ashamed of.

Red. I have a Black 88 GTU and it looks hella sexy against my very open silver spoke rims.

Yellow seems too ricey since all the Honduz use it.Although yellow = more HP!.

I cleaned mine yesterday really good. Made them shine. Then I just clearcoated them. Looks good, and not like I have aftermarket calipers.
