90% chance I'll go a dark forest green when I do the repaint (one day, someday)
10% I'll go dark purple.

100% I'll go with the tan top (that'll be alteration #1).

Just not sure if I want to do a t2 swap, or keep it n/a

Yes- aabestco made a tan top when I looked into it about 1.5 years ago.
But if you go with the tan top, it's gonna look funny unless you do the interior tan as well, imho. Hence my scrapping the idea. If I can get a german cloth/stayfast canvas top in grey, that might change my mind about straying from stock color/material...it would look good with dark grey paint, if it matched properly.

I LOVE harbor blue. I think its the coolest factory RX7 color, followed closely by Infini Green, then the JDM Dark Grey. Heres some pics of my harbor blue Vert

On a paint note does anyone know what the factory name for that dark mulberry color is? I've seen it on one FC and it looked awesome, apparently it's really rare...

 

If you have a blue interior your colors are pretty limited. I have a white vert with blue interior and am going to do a repaint. I decided blue, silver and white are really the only good options with the interior color, so I am going to do a Mercedes Silver.

imo the blue conv. is a beautiful color. My 86 is the same blue and im painting the top half black after im done with my t2 swap

That green one...drools...harbor blue is also a very nice stock color.

 

Mine is a 90 with the original red factory paint...I REALLY like that Midnight Blue though ! If if were starting over I would really consider that color.

 

That would be Claret Mica, and I have considered that color on more than one occasion. It was only an option in 88, but I have never seen a 'vert in that color.
