What Color...

Should I paint my car?? I know this seems weird to be asking yall since it is my car. But I cant decide. I am torn between several colors. I am torn between gunmetal grey, yellow, or black. I am about to start rebuilding and repainting my motor so I am trying to think of what color to do the car so my engine will contrast and look cool in the bay.

So of those three, what would yall do? Also what color would yall do the motor?? Matching? I was thinking of painting the bay black and the motor silver and blue. Then one of those three for the main body color.

Any help??

go for gunmetal grey. not many fc's that color and they look awesome. i love black but its such a pain in the *** to keep clean. then id do the engine with black irons and stock aluminum for teh housings etc.

What color is your car now?
What color is the interior (and do you plan on coordinating it with the new body color?).

Black is not only a difficult color to maintain but also requires fanatical attention to prepaint prep...if there is a flaw, black will accentuate it.

Either of your other choices would be easier to apply but in any case, a total body color change is a major project- door/hatch sills, inside the fuel filler cavity, etc. all must be prepped to a very high standard or you'll be reminded of your laziness constantly.

Your plan for the engine bay sounds like a carnival ride...too many colors.
Black bay, silver and blue engine, yellow body (potentially)?
Sheesh, even Stevie Wonder would be embarrassed.

Yellowish Silver. Its freakin awesome.

When I got mine painted, I was hesitating between yellowish silver and blood red. I went with blood red.

Well my car is red right now and my interior is black. I was thinking black bay just because it would go great with gunmetal and obviously black. It would also go with the yellow, but then I would have done the motor grey and yellow.

But I am leaning toward gunmetal with a black bay and a blue and grey engine, because I am thinking about redoing the interior and having blue glowing gauges and blue neons. But I am going back to a black interior, Im just going to update it a bit. lol. BUt I already have a set of hyperblac Enkei rims on it and I think they would go really nice with a gunmetal finish.

If you're going to do yellow then do CYM.

If you do black then it will look like any other FC (which isn't bad but if you're going to paint make it a lil different)

Gunmetal seems like the best color of the three because I haven't seen MANY FCs that color.

I'm also going to paint my car before the end of the summer to prep it for winter. I've been thinking a dark grey/gunmetal exterior, black engine bay and interior and red seats. No fancy engine paint for me.

I like Gunmetal myself

I chose charcoal and bronze for the engine.

Now hopefully it'll run when I'm done with it.

I like the color, and if you put the right decals at the rights spots in black it could look really nice. Ill make a photoshop for you lol.

This is a pic of a wide body pink, would look sweet with black carbon fiber hood:

Oops, forgot the rotor!

I'm guessing it was a spare, because it seems like you'd notice that.

Lotus Storm Titanium Mettalic with an actual CLEAR clear coat. Painted all the molding and the rims a very VERY dark charcoal mettalic and clear coated everything. Go ahead - wax the molding
