what are the chances of getting a "C" rotor from Mazda

I took my engine apart today, 1 of the rotors not good.

so I have to replace it.

S5 NA Rotors are pretty rare (at least I tried to find them but no one is selling it right now) so my "last possible" option is to get a new one from Mazda $$$$$$$ (cries)

So question is, same as title which is

"if I buy a new Rotor from Mazda, what are the chances of getting a "C" rotor from them?"

Cuz both my Front and "Dead" rear are C, of course I prefer another "C", but a "B" and "E" should do. problem is, if they ship me a "A" or "E" then I be SOL

anybody had that "sad" experience? (gotta go Mazda for another new Rotor)

I would assume mazda would have one somewhere, but it would be a special order part.

And you'd probably have to sell your house or your first born to pay for it.

+1 for engine builder/shops

From what i can tell through my mazdaspeed account you can order a rotor by year and turbo or non-turbo. There is no code designation in the part number.

your chances of getting a C rotor from mazda are 100%. ALL of the replacement rotors are C rotors.

how can this be you ask? well if you show me the FSM page where it mentions the letter weight rotors, i will show you where it says all replacement rotors are C stamped

i think i read somewhere that you can take a rotor to a drill press and dimple it to bring the weight down, doing so on each side to equal it out and compare weighting it your other one. I dunno how safe that is but i read people do it.

Well can't really say that, to make a rotor it has to go though a really complicated process, its already "kinda" cheap, it cost significantly more out there(eg: mazdatrix)

but I don't know, Im getting my eyes and ears out see what happens.
