What are the chances...
...that there is a site somewhere that has a list of everything that you would need to do a N/A to turbo swap.
I'm beginning to realize that I won't really make any power out of my N/A engine (not that it's not possible), and want to swap the engine and the transmission (I have an automatic right now).
Just wondering if there's somewhere that I can go where somebody has pretty much made a list of all the parts that you will need and everything like that.
Thanks.

He's a member on this forum and he will soon lock/delete this thread, as well as bitch at you for not searching
J/K Aaron... but his site has some great info, and I know there are a few others I have bookmarked SOMEWHERE.
And If you're going to be swapping your tranny too, **** man, do a TII swap. With turboing the N/A you're limited as to what kind of power you can make... with a TII swap, you'll be able to get more power than you'll 'need'

Ok, found the other site... but you really shouldn't follow it. This guy turboed his N/A in a weekend, but didnt do it "properly" and lets just say it didnt last too long
If you do it the RIGHT WAY, and by the looks of it.. Aaron did it the RIGHT way, It's a **** load of work.
I have been contemplating what to do with my 89 GTU for some time... and I've decided to do a TII swap this summer.
Ive thought from a big ported N/A with all the bolt ons, to supercharing it (WASTE of money, for the money spent), turboing the N/A, and a full out TII swap. I think the TII swap will yield better results, and I don't trust my fabricating skills honestly. I also hope to be in the low to mid 300 HP range (325-350) and that's "impossible" to do with a turboed N/A...
And the fact that you \\need\\ to swap out the tranny anyways, just stears more torwards going "all out".

I'm curious though... and a little confused... I'm reading his page, but I don't really understand what he did. Did he just turbo the N/A motor that he already had with stock TII parts? I want to just drop in a TII engine, which would be a lot easier. I just want to know what parts I will need to do all of this, and mainly what parts I will need for the auto to manual tranny swap.

I've actually been looking for that website. I knew that there was somebody on here from there, and I was hoping that they'd post up on this thread so that I could get the link. Thanks. I want to look into their prices, and hopefully can get an engine from them.
Thanks.
Thanks.
