To high a gear. Not enough power. Extremely heavy flywheel. When exactly does it rev slow?

Your secondary throttle blades may be stuck closed.

I did the tb mod and the motor is ported it does it all the time. Ill hold in the clutch and give it gas and it only revs to about 3500 then it starts backfiring and wont rev to much further.

bad secondaries injectors... not opening 5 and 6 ports...clogged cats.... stuck secondary throttle plates..but by the way u say it backfires.. i would have to go with bad secondary injectors or not enough gas...

Bad ACV can cause the backfire, but not slow revving (i think)

I would check and refurbish your whole 6port/vdi system. ie hoses, actuators, solenoids, etc...

Do your idiot lights workk? Can you check your error codes? You may be in "limp home" mode which fits your basic symptoms. It's a long shot but worth a check. Just ground the little one wire green plug located near the leading coil and turn the key to the "on" position. Count the number of times the check engine light blinks noting short and long pauses. And come back here and let us know what you've seen. Or you can search on here to get the error code list. Main reason for "limp home" is a faulty OMP.

It idles at like 1500 or highter if it idles at all.

I did a compr. check about a week ago and it was good but since then I found that only one of the oil injectors was getting any vaccume, before I noticed this I drove it about 3 miles because I had just put silicone hoses on it.
could this cause the motor to blow that fast.

The car had the same rev problem before I did the hoses.

thanks

Bad*wrong* timing. The throttle body mod, a corrupt tps, secondaries will not cause this by the way(in the driveway), fuel starvation. Darn wires being on the wrong plugs, apex seals, One of the PRIMARY injector wires broken, Primary injector wires on the wrong injector, one very bad LEAD spark plug, the rag that you left in the intercooler and twelve dozen other things.

I'd check the timing first, put two new LEAD plugs in, check the tps for ohms valve as the tps is run thru its full range, and think of whether or not I'd been under the intake prior to this problem to answer if the injector plugs might have been swapped .

Dare I say you took out the wrong plates. Did this problem start right after you did the TB mod?

vanix......my sole purpose on the face of the earth is to let people know that THE OIL INJECTORS DO NOT GET VACUUM. The oil injectors are the ones causing the vacuum. They, the oil injectors, suck. They suck fresh air from a passage inside the throttle body, that leads to the front of the throttle plates. Therefore if the "vac" line on a oil injector falls off, there is no problemo. Its still sucking air. Just not filtered air. Not the cause of your problem in any way.

Note: the suction is from the rotors side of the oil injector.
