what causes "hard" starts in a T2?

quick question...is there anything i can do to prevent my FC from having a "hard" start or not starting at all? i know it sounds stupid. why does it seem like the car is hard to start when too warm?
i wanted to search but didnt know the proper terms to search for.

thanks!

Flooding...Leaking injectors.
Normal problem when injectors leak fuel when hot. Plenty of threads.

it probably also has to do with compression. usually high mile engines see this..

Compression is low and the injectors are not very good.. it causes the car to flood really easy.

If this "anti-flood" module is the one Mazdatrix sells, remove it immediately. It can cause fuel starvation..lean=dead engine.

Anti-flood modules will do nothing if your injectors are leakig or you have low compression. Injector cleaning is pretty cheap, so getting it done is good practice.

Looks like it cuts the fuel pump on starting. It's a bandaide solution, not a fix to the actual problem with is more than likely leaking injectors.

thanks. i'll check it out.
i was planning on replacing the injectors anyway. even though my car is still stock would it hurt for me to get slightly bigger secondary injectors(720cc?) in preparation for the mods i plan on doing that will require more fuel?

A fellow named AKAGEALS fixed his broken bac, and one of the side effects was he has no problems starting anymore. I believe the bac is wide open when starting the car, then after the car is idling, goes into the feedback mode. See the 89manual if you think that is wrong.
