are u guys sure these n/as are capable of beating mustangs and camaros wth juss a cleaned out cat and and intake.....cuz im getting my n/a next week and if this is true ill be really happy.....
but im doubtful on some of these kills, cuz i do a lot of reading on this forum and they're are a lot of n/a's that are struggling to touch 15.5 on the 1/4......
if these mods are capable of dropping the stock 16s into mid 14s ill be a happy boy.......

An FC with gutted cats and intake WILL run mid 15's. But my car is FAR from that, along with a few other n/a's that posted here. Its not that hard to get an FC into the 14's. But you will need a good aftermarket exhaust from the engine to the exhaust tip, a ported motor and/or ported intake manifold, and a good intake, drawing cold air from the front of the car. Pulleys, e fan and weight reduction really help too. But 14's in a n/a are far more than just a few bolt ons.

Im going to the track soon. I need to get my new tranny in, race pressure plate, rebuild slave cylinder, ss clutch hose, and the rest of the pile of car parts on mt desk put into my car. Then Im going to the track.

I cant even remember all of my mods now, but heres the major ones. cone filter in front of radiator, ported TB, ported intake manifold, all emissions and air pump removed, 6 port sleeves removed and modified for better flow, true dual exhaust, electric fan, main and alt UD pulleys, Hi-6 ignition, no a/c or p/s, and some weight reduction(car weighs about 2650 lbs right now).

Driveline mods: race pressure plate, ss clutch hose, tranny with 84 internals, and a 90 case( much shorter gearing than 90 internals), and a LSD rear. I also have poly suspension bushings going in soon, and hopefully a lightweight flywheel. The transmission and pressure plate are going in this weekend.

This ain't impressive, but I spanked a Cavalier off the lights while delivering pizza last night. Poor guy was sitting beside me and gunned his engine. I looked over at him like he was insane. The light changes and he guns it, spinning his tires. I didn't squeal mine once. He couldn't get ahead of me. Gotta love our being able to shift later.

I spanked him by 3 car lengths, hit my hazards to call my victory, and he turned off at the next corner...

lets see, notable wins include a stock integra type R, a stock early model boxter, a stock WRX wagon (yes, a turbo), many a 2.5 RS modded, modded 300ZX (NA, 90's), GTi VR6...some others that I'm forgetting. I never really ran against the V8 boys but considering a best of 14.8 at LI dragway in my NA these wins makes sense...and YES, they were all racing BTW, all the cars I've mentioned are favs of mine (to drive not to race), especially the 2.5 RS. True, the WRX pulls harder, but the 2.5's look so much meanor and is a BLAST to drive!!

Not to many impressive cars seen around this area but it holds it own against any mustang out on the country roads. I had a Dodge truck (v10) give me a scare one day but he wouldn't go over a 100 but he never pulled away. Slomaros Integras Civics I don't even waste my time with them now nobody here can build one that works right. Are Boxter owners to afraid to have any fun with their cars because they spent too much? I think so, either that or they're gettin ripped off

There no fast cars around here! Well, a few Ferrari 360 Modena's, but do you think I have any comp against them? lol. I havent really raced anyone, specially since right now im still on part of my breakin period. but....

I can probably beat a fair amount with this...

Rebuilt engine 3 weeks ago
Stage 1 street port with intake and exhaust ported
lightweight steel flywheel
RB Street/strip HD clutch and pressure plate
RB Header and Presilencer, stock mufflers!
HKS super power flow intake
and all the other good stuff, stereo, Enkei rims, and the loud *** exhaust with stock mufflers! AHH!

hmmm ive known some people that lost hp cuz of an intake cuz they were takign in "hot air" which is bad for the engine.....so i guess if just got an intake not doing nothing...it porbably taking in more hot air then anythine else....n that slowing u down

Okay

For the record, if Ryde or Die is checking out this thread still, I apologize for my recent posts, I was a little pissed off. I had just read Joe D's bashing of the FC N/A, and I was ready to jump at any more provocation.

Here is my kill list:

Civic 4-door (not VTEC)
Newer Focus.
Hyundai Tiburon
Dodge Neon (totally riced out, it HAD to have been embarassing for that guy)

I dont make it a habit to street race, but sometimes a 1-2 gear pull is okay off the light.

Sorry again if I was being rude.

I have kept up with a non turb 911. He merged in the freeway behind me with his bule lights and from there on out it was on. We hit about 130 before traffic would not permit us to keep racing. I think he was faster but when he had a chance to go around me at 110 he could not. He had to let off the gas and file in behind me.

Killed a probe with brand new engine and tranny. Don't remember if it was a 6 or 4 cylinder.
Also killed, and I mean killed a 98 lincoln navigator. My dumbass friend thought he could beat me with that friggin tank.
