Sorry von I meant tomorrow, Friday NOT Saturday. Message back if that is feasable or what would be a better time and date? Other forum members: what do you think is going to be the outcome?

They have lots of torque... I dont care if he wins because All we have is u a filter and me a filter race pipe and most emisions gone.. But I think it will be close.

I wrote vid meaning I'll video tape the race between you two guys. Also, I don't have my car right now it is a Robbies Auto shop getting belts and hoses looked at and tuned up but I will be there to see you two. So Dennys at 8 right? The place we usually go is a little under a quarter mile with a slight bend midway through but the rex should have no handling problems, and trevor is lowered an inch so his SL is okay with it too. See you then.

Von, I have another friend who wants to run. He has a 1991 Stealth RT/TT with a boost leak and a highly detuned motor, so if you have any friends that want to race him then bring them too. Dennys on Poway Rd. at 8 oclock. We are also planning on going to the races tonight at midnight if you want to come to that with us too thats cool. The Stealth dies if the rpms go over 5000 so he has to shift at 4500 so it really takes some time off the car. He should take it to the shop but he is a moron who doesn't care until he has enough money hahaha so see you there. Are the other guys coming racing their cars? and what are they?

Yes.... all of us.. My friends miata with intake and exaust. Timing bump... SHould be a close race between u and him if your a good driver.. My friends civic with LS integra engine(pretty fast). me in my rx7. Should be a little faster than yours although I havnt raced much and never raced another 7 before. My 7 is in bad shape.. Hesitates a little( I know the injectors are dirty) and tps needs adjustment and I dont have lightbulbs to adjust it. But its running pretty strong. Nothing that would hinder its times much other than that and mabey the clutch sliping only when I dont drive it right.. Remember I said I lost my job a wile ago and still looking for another... Should have one in a week and then I will do the rest of the mods Ive been meaning to do.

WHAT I HAVE BEAT!

What I have beat:

A 90's Prelude by about a quarter inch.
A 98 Jetta GLS by about a mile.
A crappy Beretta with a cherry bomb.
A Pontiac Bonneville.
and the best part....a V6 93 Camry.

I must add that all of these races were won when I had my RPM problem. You can read about this at the THREAD named "What Mods?"
Also..when I beat the Prelude...it was uphill with 3 people in my car (two in his).

Im wondering what mods ya'll have done. When I was driving my 87 sport (bone stock except exhaust bonez cat and songle N1) My best runs were 10.0 1/8 at Kenedale Tx and 15.1 1/4 at Ennis Tx. V8's of any kind were way out of range. The it got wrecked and I got one hellofa deal on my firebird. Bone stock my V6 firebird would walk all the 2nd gen NA's at both tracks and be dead even with the T2's. Even with my mods to it I can JUST NOW keep up with LT1 Fbodys (camaros and firebirds) beat most Mustang GT's and If I were to start squeezing some juice I could maybe real in a few LS1 FBodies.

Im calling BS on some of these runs since I truly believe that the other drivers didnt realize you were racing. The Civics anduch are gimme wins.

The newer v6 accords put out 200hp i dont know there exact 0-60 times but im guessing around mid 8 sec. They also wiegh around 3200 pounds.
Im a N/A owner and these posts are pretty impressive, but a little too impressive. There are people saying they have beaten v8's, camaros, boxters, sho's i mean this is pretty great news for me but just a little too hard for me too beleive, cuz i mean these cars are like what at least 80hp more than our cars? Id like to see this for myself

Lets break this down a little. Many cars mentioned were 15 sec 1/4 cars. Like the Accords, preludes, etc.

Porsche Boxster has always been a 14 sec car, period. Im not quite sure about th enewest Boxster S, but I AM sure about the others.

V8's
-mustangs, up until 99, they were mid 14 sec cars. The 99-up runs a 14.0 for the 5 speed.
-camaros, LT1 runs mod 14's. NO n/a here could beat an LS1 camaro, they are low 13 sec cars, and pull on stock FD's.

Now a low 14 sec 1/4 is nothing to sneeze at, but it still relatively easily attainable for a n/a. You just need full intake and exhaust, some porting, and a light car.

My car has full intake and exhaust, a ported manifold, pulleys, e-fan, etc, and an unusually strong motor. On top of that, my car weighs about 2625 lbs. And I have pulled on a 2001 Mustang GT from 20-73 in 2nd gear. I started out at his rear bumper, and was half a car ahead when I hit the rev limiter It might have been an auto, I dont know for sure. But I know I still beat it.

turbo eclipse auto, ~97 mustang gt 5 spd, prelude vtec, civic si, integra gtr, numerous v6 stangs, chevy trucks, ford trucks minus lightning, jeep grand cherokee v8 overland...those are nice suvs though, celica gts..duno 5spd or auto though. my gtech says my 0 to 60 is 6.86 w/ worn stock clutch so i think thats pretty good concidering i started with an 8.9 0 to 60 when i got my car. my mods are intake, exhaust, msd ignition, and removed various things

Just took out a Boxster on the highway. We were going around 60mph, and I dropped it into 3rd. It was a fairly tight race.

A couple of years ago I tried to take on a Viper. That wasn't so pretty. I really only wanted to see what the car had because I knew that he'd waste me.Slater

Well i rarely race people in my vert cause it is slow as hell but the funny thing is that people think it is really fast because it is really loud (gutted cats) so they never rev on me or they never come up to the line at the light they fear the rx7 except for my friends they laugh at my car and call it the weedwhacker on crack.

As far as kills go i have beaten a 240 sx and some other crappy cars but i sure have gotten my *** handed to me by a lot of cars. My street racing car was my turbo awd dsm in that car i smoked a bunch of people

I just gutted my cat the other day, and put straight pipes and I just got the k & n cone filter intake. I whooped an 89' 300zx Turbo rolling and in a red light. I beat probe gt's left and right, I whooped a custom turbo'd probe gt, and i was side by side with a boxster, also i blew a 96 Z non-turbo 2+2, but it was stick and had exhaust, civics and integra are the funnest to beat, because thy feel like their crying when you fly by them with that high pitched sound they make. My latest and proudest conquest was a v6 mustang, but it said it was SVT i just do't know if SVT V6's exist, if they do, I WHOOOPEED ONE!
