Just wanted to know if some stuff will plug into the 87 harness and still work with the 87 ecu? Like coils, crank angle, a/c, P/S and anything else i would be able to keep? Thanks for the help guys!

You do realize if you use the s4 ECU, you'll have to hack apart your s5 dash harness and fit a s4 connector onto it?

I never will understand why people can't buy parts from the same series as their car.

why would I hack it? I have the s4 dash harness. Maybe you can understand that S5 TII cars arn't available. Do you understand that?

S5 Turbo engines are more available than S4 ones...

But I agree with Sonic, get the right series engine and harness for the car.

And most of the things you mention that I am assuming are S5 can be used on a S4 engine (although I sure as hell would not want some of the S5 parts like the power steering myself)

S5 engines with all parts to go from N/A, Auto tranny to TII. I was unable to find one and the ones I did find cost way more than the conversion should cost me. I do have both the s4 harnesses and I am going to use that one.

omfg......... instead of giving crap info on what he SHOULD do...... why not just answer his questions?????????????? i know at least one of you knew the answer!!!! anyways.... i did a full s5 na (91' coupe) to a 88 turbo ........ swapped everything, every wire, every sensor, tranny, rear-end, everything.........

most everything will plug in....coils, crank angle sensor........... p/s and ac im not sure about, took everything to my ac out of the car and converted my p/s to manual..... if you have any more questions, just pm me, and ill be happy to answer them!

note.... there are a few things that arent interchangable though.... like the instrument cluster
